Welcome to the 11 Year (2+0+0+9)!

This is a year that truly deals with our souls, going deep into hidden places and spaces in our soul and bringing it forward and out. Like a divine cleaning agent. The kind of dramas and fears that already started in 2008 will continue for a while into 2009. This year is going to be especially critical, like how we indicated that last year would be a frightening year. That sense of fear becomes more acute for many.

2009 is a graduation year and contains the energy of ascension. With that ascension, it carries what we could loosely call Judgment Day. Judgment Day and Ascension. The fear is about Judgment Day. According to the archetype, all sins are revealed. Through it all, there is an ultimate possibility of ascension. We will experience that ascension in the last fourth of the year. Leading up to that point, for many, it will feel like death. It will feel like an existential fear. We have already sensed that and it will be even more intense and acute, but it is necessary to bring things forward and out. The ability and call to calm others down and be the stable guide is going to be even more critical. If you are the one with answers, people will come to you. They will actively seek our clarity, insight, and guidance. A similar circumstance was there in 2008. It becomes much more XXX in 2009. The quality of creative, nimble ways of thinking will be more sought after.

This is the time to really dream, create, present our fully developed vision, and people will come to actualize it. That’s the nature of the opportunity, the quality of it, the atmosphere of possibility. The sense of a miracle is that it happens in a way that 4 or 5 years ago would have taken forever to get together. The quality of this is that it happens much more quickly. The task as creative, innovative leaders is to put it out there. Take advantage of the opportunity that it is and take advantage of the ascension experience and the creative actualization experience!

Part of the challenge that people will be experiencing will be the threat of disease. It’s like a crystallization of stress, fear, and old fear coming to the surface. For some, the only way for them to deal with ascension and death (leaving the body to ascend) is through fear, because that is the only frame of reference they have. The good news is that we embody the ascension and can actualize immediately. Transformation can happen spontaneously.

Especially in the second half of the year, people will experience what I call a “Cloud of Divine Possibility” that hangs over all of our heads. It becomes real to a few but enough people. It is a collection of raw ascension energy. It will get clearly defined at the end of the year, like the clarity that we had at the end of the new One Year, i.e. new politics, new reality, new era). The technology that will come will be inspired, has been ascending for a while now. It takes on a special inspiration. The true nature of interconnectedness becomes more real. The possibility of relationship and harmony – we get to see that. The sense of an “Us” and a collective leap forward is something we conceptualize as a possibility. Toward the end of the year, it becomes less frightening and becomes a new understanding. It becomes a new “destructure.”

The new intra-psychic skill of managing the dreams becomes more accessible. Being consciously aware in dreams becomes a more common mode to be. Individuals that are able to be a guide in this realm, to awaken to the dream aspect, will be a recognized thing. More people will talk about it. They will generally be individuals who are more empowered as leaders.

2009 will be the time when we collectively take charge of the dream. We take ownership of it and let it be real. As all these things occur, with great deal of drama on into the spring and summer, we will find a way to collectively ascend. When we see the drama, we can hold fast to where it is heading and not get knocked off center by it. People will be afraid, feel like they are dying. But it’s actually ascension. There will be a major force to let go. This is the sense of the duality of the path: ascension and drama. It is an emergence of a new Us that occurs. It is through this drama and sense of trauma that creates and facilitates that. We get there through this gateway.
The One Year is like an intense birth. The Eleven Year is like two One Years. It is like the One Year amplified. It is a Gateway Year. A year of Collective Birth and Ascension. Births can be very dramatic before we move through that gate. The way to get through drama is through understanding it. Labor is tedious. A dramatically new world come out of it this year and does not get clear until the very last part of the year.

Throughout the process of birth, we can be the old experienced midwife, calm and centered. That is the challenge. It will be about calming everybody else down. As a practitioner, most of people’s challenges are transformations they are experiencing. We can help them by understanding the nature of the transformation.

This is a time that was very predicted and foreseen. The drama of it is like a burning off, clearing, deep purging of fear. We will find that you and your experience will become much stronger and, paradoxically, much calmer with this time. In a sense, it’s like it is our time in terms of people exploring an alternative, non-mainstream mode. All these qualities we developed for our survival all of a sudden become the skills people are seeking. It will be a dramatic flip that occurs.

Ultimately, we can only find a harmonious way through this passage by finding our hearts. That is the message. Why? Because our heart is naturally tuned to the unity of all of life, and therefore lives in respect of it.

WE ARE FAST APPROACHING SOUL-STICE – THE 3-YEAR PHASELOCK WITH 2012!

Please tune in, esp at the precise moment:

but also, know that during Solstice the Sun stands still for 3 days
before the Return of the Light – so it is an auspicious window of time!

While these are important times to gather with our family and communities, these are also important times to go deep within ourselves and to let go of the old, making space for new life and new creativity to blossom.

In this regard, I would like to share with you a message I found very inspiring, in the hopes it might also move you to engage in personal ceremony during this 3 day window.

The following message is from my dear friend and cosmic ally, Ariel Spilsbury (author of The Mayan Oracle and the 13-Moon Oracle):

“Dear Beloveds,

What a powerful “Duir” door this Winter Solstice offers! Solstice means Sol-sun and stice..stands still. Far from the frenetic energy that is promulgated by the culture, the three days around Winter Solstice are a time to go inward, to “stand still” in the darkest time, to deeply inquire into what shadow baggage is calling to be totally released before you enter into the cycle of the Return of the Light. Some things are true, and sometimes they are truer still. This is one of those times. We have been personally and culturally in a process of dissolution of our baggage for many years now, and THIS solstice is time to look at what single shadow you have carried in your life that is like a “curse” or “spell” that you have “been under”, that you are truly ready to take FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ITS CREATION AND FULL RESPONSIBILTY FOR ITS RELEASE!

What pattern has come down your family line that you have felt to be completely unable to be changed, so powerful was its “spell”? And by spell i mean the strength and tenacity of the belief system or pattern. Reaction is a portable prison.* Culturally this is a potent time to break the spell and break free! These dark days during Solstice are particularly powerful for that process, so please consider taking time to do a deep contemplation to discover what the spell has been and do an intentional ceremony to release it for yourself and the collective One!

This does not have to be a “heads down, serious, un-fun” process. It can be as easy as asking yourself, “I wonder why I would cast this spell in my life and who is the character in me who is continuing to perpetrate it in my movie and further more “I think i will just make a new casting call and REWRITE THE SCRIPT of my life movie without that pattern!!  That could be a lot more fun way to look at doing this process. “How can I animate and amplify the most desirable story/script for my life? What NEW VOW do I want to put into motion in my life?” For moving through the “duir” of the new year, these are questions worth answering in a Solstice Ceremony. As starhawk says in a wonderful chant you can use, “The Wheel is Turning, What Will You Give to the Night? Response: _____________ is gone with the night. Answer that and truly give it to the Dark Mother to be transmuted, that the Divine Child in you may be birthed this Solstice!!!

Starhawk’s traditional Solstice Greeting: “This is the night of Solstice, the longest night of the year. Now darkness triumphs; and yet, gives way and changes into light. The breath of nature is suspended; all waits while within the Cauldron,  The Dark King is transformed into the Infant Light. We watch for the coming of dawn, when the Great Mother again gives birth to the divine Child Sun, who is the bringer of hope and the promise of summer. This is the stillness behind motion, when time itself stops; the center which is also the circumference of all. We are awake in the night. We turn the Wheel to bring the light. We call the sun from the womb of night. Blessed Be.”

“The winter solstice is the shortest day of the year and the longest night, known also as the Mother Night. It is considered to be the start of a new year and the rebirth of the new sun. Rhiannon rides through the dreams of her people by night, transporting them to the place between the worlds where they can create their own visions, giving them a gift of what they need most, helping them to make their dreams real. Let us collectively dream a new heart-centered world where our visions of Heaven on Earth are manifested.”

2012 – What’s the bottom line?

On a collective scale, we are experiencing a time period in which all that has been unconscious is becoming conscious. All that has been hidden is being revealed. Whether we look to our own lives, or to the state of global affairs, the locks are being thrown off of secrets, the wounds, vulnerabilities, shadows and incongruencies are being exposed. Simultaneously, the truth and depths of our authentic beingness is also being revealed. As the Hopi say, we are living in the Time of Great Purification. Simple words, vast meaning.

We are living in precious and precarious times; exciting, fragile and mysterious. Our human population of 7 billion people is unprecedented. According to Wikipedia, by the year 2000, there were 10 times as many people on Earth as there were 300 years ago. According to 2009 data from the CIA’s factbook, the world’s human population now increases by 220,980 people every day. We are each drops in this sea of humanity, part of the physical and psychic collective. We are remembering our unity by facing our shared challenges. The crises we now face are bringing us together to inspire our constructive creativity. There is no way out of this prophecy, only a way through.

This is now the time to embrace all that has been dishonored or denied, for it is emerging to be purified and sanctified. All that is manifesting on the inner and outer planes reflects the sacred intensity of these prophetic times. The polarities and imbalances within us and around us are becoming clearer. Love, beauty, co-creation, and compassion permeate this world. Multi-faceted victories of art, community support, healing and evolution shine all around us, illumating the spirited grace of our true nature. Meanwhile, this world is steeped in fear, brutality, pain, and disease. Endless anguish of anxiety, separation, disconnection, confusion, isolation – alongside the toxic realities of egoic, callous greed and corruption, materialism, addiction, and dangerous ignorance. Accountability is required on all levels of our existence. In this process of becoming transparent, we are invited to shed egoic programs of fear and limitation, letting go of and transducing old stories about ourselves and our identities.

The 2012 synchronization is reminding us we are on a journey together; the twists and turns of our lives contribute to the collective manifestation taking place. We need to honor the importance of the closing of this cycle without hyping it up with fear and expectations. We need to let go of focusing on dates in the future and embrace the possibilities that live within us, right now, that are here to guide us into the new pages that we can write with our collective consciousness.

Let’s drop the script that 2012 is bringing the end of the world and understand that it is bringing the end of a great cycle. Rather than passive victims, we are here to be conscious participants of this world age transition process. Let us perceive 2012 as a code signalling us that these planetary moments are summoning us to align with our deepest potential and access the deepest dimensions of who we truly are, knowing that as a whole we are enduring a great initiation process to learn how to live in harmony with each other and with Nature.

It seems the fundamental question this prophecy is pointing us to is: How can we live and operate in conscious awareness of our Oneness, our Interdependence? We are being asked to deeply understand that our lives are intimately woven together with All of Life. We must embody this comprehension and let it guide our human efforts.

The bottom line is that this world is ours to shepard. This moment lives within us. We are all instruments of culture. We need to focus our attention on our powers of creativity as human players in this planetary equation. Our mental, spiritual, emotional and physical energies are the vivid colors splashing on the canvas of Life. What is the quality of our collective art? How can we refine our contribution?

This is no time to try to figure things out with the mind, but rather to learn to listen from the heart. The more conscious we become of our potential to be conscious, the more our potential finds us; our self-reflective awareness deepens and flowers.

We need to support ourselves in processing the trauma of these times. Rather than furthering the trauma by numbing out and being indifferent, it is important we face the pain and tragedy of our world that is crying out. The medicine this can offer comes when we let it break our hearts into even deeper compassion, opening the channels for more holistic responses.

Ultimately, we can only find a harmonious way through this passage by finding our hearts. That is the message. Why? Because our heart is naturally tuned to the unity of all of life, and therefore lives in respect of it. By finding genuine compassion, we access genuine wisdom. As Jose Arguelles says: “We are the Peacemakers we’ve been waiting for!”

bringing tests and opportunties.
The mystery blooms in our heart,
with petals of innocence and stalks of wisdom.
We shine as fellow rays of light
in an emerging garden of loving awareness.

Honoring Change & Transformation

What happens when feelings, love and relationships change in their form of expression?

What am I doing when I don’t honor this shift in being between people, between me and myself?

How do I “name” the act of engaging the message of change that has arrived, whether it is inside of me, outside of me, in relationships?

The closing month of the 11 year has me feeling the rumblings of deep shifts and stirrings inside and outside of me.  There is a great deal of move-change-realign-don’t work anymore-energy happening; my sangha and I are all experiencing certain parts of our lives changing at the level of feelings, certainities becoming destabilized, parts of ourselves feeling untenable, all with varying degrees weight and impact — but all of it palpable.  And because we find ourselves talking about these parts of our perceived “craziness”, revealing the parts that no longer work, finding ways to name the unnameable tension and underlying suffering we’ve sometimes become accustomed to,  in this way, hopefully we are in fact offering ourselves up to honor the process of change — and not waste our life’s energies when the communication arrives that it is time to do something differently: evolve.

So, what to do?  Who to talk to?  What to “hold onto” when things that I’ve held to no longer seem to “work?”  The habit to “hold on” seems to produce more suffering actually.  In what do I seek refuge to touch this experience, understand it, and attentively embrace and at times, transform it?  Do I take on the default mode and allow things to play out feeling as if I am outside of the Circle of Life?  Outside of the Universe’s care, guidance and Love and Light?  What is the “new” story I begin when the “old” story ends?

Met with Soul Shamanic Sangha friends today to check in before the last three months of 11 Gateway Year arrives. We “made” it this far. This is it!

What will flower within us as the 11 Gateway Year comes to its completion?

What will be the emergence that appears?

What surprises will wake us up into more JOY and BEINGNESS?

How much can I ALLOW to happen without me participating in the DOING?

Will I surrender before I enter?

How much Karma will I bring into the Gateway?

Will it even survive upon entrance?

Will I? Will my small-self i survive? Will it hide somewhere I cannot detect or will not allow myself to detect? Will I be an accomplice to its survival and validation? Or will I allow the fullness of Being to completely burn away

I realized, again, this weekend that my upcoming travels plans for a self-created South+East Asia dharma homecoming retreat are just around the corner. The last time I checked, I had eight weeks or so. Then, I saw a dear Friend yesterday who will be leaving in a couple of weeks and this made me WAKE UP and SIT UP to know that time’s working with me to get me to work it out! My Kuya has his wedding celebration at the end of the week, then my expository writing training next week, and then at the end of May 2009, we have the Deer Park + World Beat Sangha Strengthenin’ Weekend Retreat collaboration!

All this stuff goin’ on, and all this stuff to do! All this good stuff goin’ on and all this good stuff to do!

Just checked my passport renewal status and I find out, it is on its way! YAHHHOOOOOO! I’ve been checkin’ and nothing’s been coming up. And it had been several weeks already. I worried a bit, but now, all all all good! REJOICE!

Does that mean, I should finally step into the gateway of ticketing my trip…finally!? Why haven’t I gotten my ticket yet a friend asked? I made up a reason or two, which are real. Yet, I know the conditions are here. Tonight, I hope to write back here and say otherwise.

Dove shared some thoughts about visiting San Cristobal! Woooohooo!

And he asked about what’s up at school? Shared a feeling that the entire program would go through a restructuring and shift. And ultimately, it would actually FREE me!? Wow!? Does that mean the work will not have the same resonance as before, if the program becomes so different than what it was initially started for? Will my preps and teaching load balance out finally? Will I have more time for other things, “things?” Smile!

No one really knows, actually, he said. There’s a feeling that no one really knows what is really going on. But, in the way that everything is undergoing a transformative restructuring, the same will occur for this program as well. Release…listen…respond

And regarding the South+East Asia trip…

Go & receive…

Will encounter my teaching training, classroom work “self” but in a completely different context. The work of “teaching in the classroom” recast amidst different conditions. A good thing! Helping others here and there to frame and understand. Activity, communication, interaction.

A hut and a cushion will emerge to greet me there…

A completely new beginning…a bussssy new beginning!

I am open to receive the entirety of the communication that commences upon taking this journey in the direction of South+East Asia.

I look forward to growing in ease with my teaching work, in order for me to be “free.”

I look forward to Entering the Gateway that I seek and the one that is also seeking me.

I receive the messages.  I receive the feelings and communications.  I receive the roles and pathways, the opening gateways that are emerging for me to see.  Emerge(N)See!
