piecing memories together

and this body of work triggering

stories i remembered from childhood

and even now…

“makilabas, makilabas”

says Nanay as we walk towards Lola and Lolos final resting place,

especially during the afternoon, she still cautions…

from pampanga to san diego

somehow

the spirits have followed us

through the distance

the spirits and stories

memories and myths

have followed us…
